What business owners ask before they offer benefits.

How small can my team be?

Most carriers in Texas will write a group plan for as few as two enrolled employees, and the owner counts as one. Above 50 employees you move into mid market territory where the rules change. Our sweet spot is teams of 2 to 50.

Do I have to pay for the whole premium?

No. Most small employers contribute somewhere between 50 and 80 percent of the employee premium and a smaller share, or sometimes zero, of dependent premiums. There is real flexibility here, and we help you find a contribution structure that fits your budget and your recruiting goals.

What about ICHRA or QSEHRA?

Reimbursement arrangements like ICHRA and QSEHRA are an alternative to traditional group plans. You give employees a tax free monthly amount and they buy their own marketplace coverage. We can compare an ICHRA setup against a traditional group plan side by side so you can decide what fits your team better.

How long does setup take?

From census to coverage start is typically two to three weeks. Faster if you are renewing an existing plan, longer if you are setting up benefits for the first time. We handle the heavy lifting and keep your team informed at every step.

Are these benefits tax deductible?

Premiums you pay on behalf of employees are generally tax deductible to the business, and employees pay their portion pre tax through payroll deduction, which lowers their taxable income too. Group benefits are one of the most tax efficient forms of compensation available, though we always recommend confirming the specifics with your accountant.
